I am a wedding and portrait photographer based out of Bellingham, Washington. Prior to photographing people and events professionally, I was a fine art painter and teacher. Using a camera initially as a documentation tool for my paintings, the process of creating with the camera became as engaging as using a brush.
Capturing weddings and portraits in an honest, artful manner is my goal at every shoot. A mother-of-the-bride recently told me, “We selected you as our photographer because your images have heart.” And, that’s what I strive for: finding the essence of the moment, the truth of the person, and capturing that in compelling images.
Most of my work is in the Puget Sound region however I do travel across the US, as well as to Mexico and Asia for assignments.
